Corona Extra is the number-one selling beer in Mexico and the leading export brand from Mexico. This pilsener-type beer was first brewed in 1925 by Cervecería Modelo, located in Mexico City.
Tasting Notes Nose: A modest aroma but generally showing faintly nutty rye-like cereal notes. Palate: Bitter at first and hoppy against a sweet backdrop, but with distracting nutty fermentation notes and papery oxidation flaws.
Finish: The best feature: hoppy, tangy, and increasingly bitter and dry. Comment: A pale golden lager with a respectable body but which needs to be cleaner and fresher.
